Across the Putnam line. Former lake cottages turned year-round, so kitchens are small and floors are rarely level.
Peekskill and Ossining
Older and closer together. 1920s to 40s frame houses with plaster walls, narrow kitchens and one bath for the whole house.
Croton-on-Hudson and Mount Kisco
River-town and village mix. Capes and colonials on hilly lots, a lot of hardwood worth saving.
